PASSION FOR CHOCOLATE & NATURALNESS!

Hello,

Thank you for visiting the Mestiza store and for allowing me to share my passion for chocolate and food in general with you.

I’m a firm believer that delicious food not only has the capacity of creating happiness through the chemistry of taste and the memories that it evokes on a personal level, but it also becomes the perfect excuse around which family and friends can join to create and enjoy new experiences.

The Spanish word Mestiza, which relates to a mixed ethnicity female, was perfect when thinking of the brand. It felt as a great representation both of my personal journey as a recently New Zealand adopted Chilean chocolatier, and especially significant for my creations, where the different single origin cocoa bean chocolates as well as global non-geographically-generic ingredients come together to create something special and unique.

I have prepared these creations around the complexity of simplicity and unpretentious authenticity, where no artificial flavourings nor disguising colourings have been used, so the culinary experience can be as natural and fresh as you can get it.

I really hope you enjoy the Mestiza Chocolates as much as I have enjoyed creating and handcrafting them.
